The 'Open Garden Days' in Amsterdam take place on 17, 18 and 19 June this year with as theme: "Color in the canal gardens".
During these days, some thirty canal gardens will be open to the public.
Titled 'Terra Nostra', this exhibition of photographer Peet Hiddink shows a series of photographs of our planet, Earth.
It depicts the elements 'water' and 'air' but above all 'earth'. Abstract as well as figurative images are shown,
sometimes robust, sometimes fragile, graphical or more poetic.
Peet Hiddink wants to revert the focus of the viewers from our consumer society back to nature:
"By our way of live, we have for a great part lost our contact with nature.
With my photographs, I want to confront people with the sometimes unbelievable beauty of nature, and create an extra
stimulus to engage in the conservation of "Terra Nostra", Our Earth!".
During the 25th edition of Kunstlijn Haarlem in 2010, and until 3 January 2011, photographer Peet Hiddink
shows a series of nature photos titled "Planet Earth" at Van Duivenboden Interieur, Gedempte Oude Gracht 88, Haarlem.

This exhibition shows us images of food from all corners of the world.
The idea is to stimulate the viewer to think more about shape, colours, taste of food, and what seduces or disgusts us.
Some of the photographs show us food as a beautiful painting, but others may come as an unpleasant surprise.
Be intrigued by fruit, vegetables, fish, and meat - food is not just to eat, but also to look at!
Maybe after seeing this exhibition, you will put 'something else' on the menu ...
